ADAS CALIBRATIONS & PROGRAMMING

TechZone Auto is the premier Concord ADAS calibrations and programming shop. For the collision shops and mechanical shops we offer mobile ADAS calibrations services (for certain static and all dynamic ADAS calibrations). Dynamic calibrations can be performed at your shop. Most Static ADAS calibrations can only be performed at our Concord ADAS calibrations facility. We can calibrate Forward facing cameras (FFC) Forward Collision Alert (FCA) system, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Pedestrian Detection (PD) system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Driver Status Monitoring (DSM), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), park assist, adaptive lights, heads up display (HUD) and other systems. We are equipped to handle most vehicle makes and models.

What is ADAS?

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) provide drivers with warnings, and assistance with maneuvers that could result in collisions either with other vehicles on the road, pedestrians, or static obstacles. ADAS has become a comprehensive term for systems that utilize sensors, radars, lasers, ultrasound, and cameras, and can include lane departure warning system, pedestrian detection, parking assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision alert system - to name just a few. As vehicles become more computerized and receive additional sensors and cameras, we expect the number of ADAS systems to further increase.

What Will Happen If Not Calibrated?

Failure to calibrate vehicle’s ADAS may result in legal liability for the collision shop or the glass repair shop. If the sensors, cameras, or radars are misaligned, even by a fraction of an inch, they may not give accurate readings, and for longer range sensors may be significantly misaligned - the system may not function properly picking up oncoming traffic or parked vehicles. The dangers are further compounded if the driver relies on ADAS not realizing that the advanced driver assistance systems have not been calibrated.
