9 million visits at Firestone centers were analyzed and the results were surprising, to say the least. 42% of vehicles visiting Firestone locations had underinflated tires. The vehicle with the highest rate? Tesla. According to Firestone, 47% of Tesla vehicles had underinflated tires. You may think that underinflated tires are an insignificant issue, but the range of problems that can be caused by underinflated tires is quite broad. They are even more pronounced for Tesla vehicles, since their weight puts an extra strain on the suspension system and the tires.
